Fully qualified BACP registered CBT counsellor, based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
During my counselling training I completed many clinical hours at various organisational settings, which enabled me to set up my private practice. I am experienced in counselling individuals with a wide range of mental health and wellbeing issues such as:
Stress / anxiety
Depression
Negative thoughts
Anger
Abuse
Addictions
Bereavement
Grief / loss
Childhood issues
Confidence / low self-esteem
Panic attacks
Relationship issues
Family Issues
Self harm / suicidal thoughts
Trauma
Work-related issues
Prior to my counselling training I founded a mental health charity called ‘Mental Health Together’ in October 2017 organising events and activities in the community, bringing people together supporting mental health and mental wellbeing.
The start of my counselling journey is rooted from my own personal experiences of mental health and a traumatic childhood event years ago where the stigma surrounding mental health affected me and my family.
Therefore, I feel very strongly about raising awareness of mental health and helping people. It’s important we keep talking about mental help to reduce the stigma. I am passionate about mental health and supporting others to feel happier and positive about their future.
I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework maintaining professional integrity and a BACP Commitment practising being honest about methods of work and communicating ethically with careful consideration of how counsellors fulfil their legal obligations (BACP, 2018).
The Ethical Framework sets out the expected ethical principles, values, and good practice standards for BACP Members. All members commit to complying with the Ethical Framework as part of their terms and conditions of membership. Please see the commitment to clients as to what to expect when working with a BACP member.
If you would like to work with me, please contact me. I offer an initial 20-minute telephone consultation free of charge, which gives you an opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you have about counselling. The consultation will include your intentions from counselling and whether I am best suited to help you. It will also include counselling availability; fees and how many sessions are likely to be required.
All counselling sessions include a duration of 60 minutes and are offered to adults and young people 16+. All bookable sessions include face-to face counselling, online (zoom), telephone or outdoor therapy sessions on request.
